TRAVEL

Some recommendations for our out-of-towner guests

Avoid drinking tap water. We recommend that you drink bottled water, which is readily available everywhere.

We recommend that you carry cash. In some places, the only acceptable method of payment is dinars. However, DO NOT carry an unnecessary amount; approximately 200 – 300 Dinars (280-420$) for contingencies is more than enough.

We recommend that you pay by card when possible and secure cards that do not charge additional foreign exchange rates.

Leaving tips in Jordan isn’t mandatory but it is recommended and appreciated! Generally, leaving 10% of your bill is satisfactory.

American and Spanish citizens do not require a VISA. There are no COVID restrictions or PCR tests needed to enter Jordan. To return to Spain today with complete vaccination and the migration document is sufficient.

CLIMATE

The weather in Amman during late December-January is quite cold with temperatures between 45ºF and 60ºF (7ºC – 15ºC) – so warm clothes are a must!
